Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract This full-time, on-site opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year seeks a skilled professional experienced in school psychology to support students in elementary school settings. The position is based in Steger, IL, with primary assignments at two schools: Evergreen Elementary and South Elementary. The workweek runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, beginning August 17. Responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling functional assessments and behavioral evaluations, implementing and monitoring behavior plans, and collaborating on the development and review of individual education plans (IEPs). A critical aspect of this role is managing caseloads involving students requiring specialized support. South Elementary includes three Autistic Support Classrooms, while Evergreen Elementary has two Emotional Support Classrooms. The ability to assess progress and adjust plans to maximize students' success is essential.
