Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth as a school psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Tinley Park, IL, is ideal for passionate professionals committed to making a difference within school communities. You'll work onsite one to two days each week in a collaborative environment where your expertise and insights will directly impact student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Valid certification as a School Psychologist
  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Demonstrated experience working within school settings
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Contribute to IEP and 504 plan development, meetings, and ongoing support
  • Deliver consultation and guidance to staff around best practices for promoting positive student outcomes
  • Maintain detailed and confidential student records in accordance with school and state requirements
