Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth as a school psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Tinley Park, IL, is ideal for passionate professionals committed to making a difference within school communities. You'll work onsite one to two days each week in a collaborative environment where your expertise and insights will directly impact student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Demonstrated experience working within school settings
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Contribute to IEP and 504 plan development, meetings, and ongoing support
- Deliver consultation and guidance to staff around best practices for promoting positive student outcomes
- Maintain detailed and confidential student records in accordance with school and state requirements
