Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' growth and success as you collaborate with dedicated educators in a dynamic school environment near Waukegan, IL. This contract opportunity offers flexibility, allowing for either part-time (20-24 hours/week) or full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedules to best suit your needs. School hours are 8 am to 4 pm. In this role, you will work with a diverse caseload, ranging from 20 to 40 evaluations annually, and directly contribute to student achievement and well-being.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Current license or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois Strong background in school-based psychological services and knowledge of special education law Familiarity with completing evaluations, interpreting data, and writing comprehensive reports Experience facilitating IEP meetings and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams Understanding of the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) process Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

Conduct a variety of special education evaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input and fostering collaborative decision-making Consult with teachers, staff, and families to address students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs Provide support as part of the MTSS team, contributing your expertise to tiered interventions and progress monitoring Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication throughout the evaluation process Take the next step in your School Psychologist career by making a difference in the educational journey of students.
