Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic educational setting! We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic school psychologists to support a diverse caseload of elementary, middle, and high school students. These full-time, contract roles offer the opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families, helping to advance successful learning outcomes and address unique educational needs during the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist license in the state of Illinois Experience conducting evaluations, re-evaluation reviews, and functional behavioral assessments Expertise in special education law, especially within early childhood or K-4 settings Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, families, educators, and team members Ability to travel locally between schools and preschool locations, especially for the early childhood role Commitment to clear and sensitive communication with families, many of whom may be new to special education processes
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, initial evaluations, and functional behavioral assessments across a range of grade levels Collaborate with teams to support the IEP process, facilitate MTSS data team meetings, and participate in problem-solving discussions For the early childhood-focused role: screen and evaluate students transitioning from early intervention, including regular travel between preschool sites Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal standards Maintain detailed documentation and uphold confidentiality at all times
