School Psychologist | Zion, Illinois Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Zion, IL Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $40 - $60 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications School experience Practicing as a school psychologist Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Empower students and support their academic and emotional growth in a district-wide, in-person role as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This rewarding contract opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact across multiple school sites, collaborating with educators, families, and district teams. The assignment runs from mid-August to the end of May, providing a stable, full-time schedule averaging 33.25 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Educational Psychology required Completion of at least one year of supervised internship under a certified school psychologist Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with proper endorsement in school psychology Strong knowledge of assessment tools, special education law, and intervention strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adaptable across elementary and secondary settings Commitment to cultural competency and supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to staff and families Develop and support implementation of evidence-based interventions Consult with teachers and families to promote student well-being and behavioral health Provide crisis intervention and participate in problem-solving teams Lead and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and student-centered practices Deliver direct and indirect support to students, adapting services to varied needs across the district Here, you'll play a crucial role fostering safe, supportive learning environments while deepening your expertise as part of a collaborative educational team.
