Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference in the lives of students by providing vital psychological services across a district in a dynamic, supportive setting. This contract opportunity spans the academic year from mid-August 2026 through late May 2027, with full-time hours averaging 33.25 per week. As an in-person role, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to foster student success and well-being.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in educational psychology or closely related field Completion of at least one year of internship under supervision of a credentialed school psychologist Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for School Psychologist Experience or readiness to work with diverse elementary and secondary student populations Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention, consultation, and prevention strategies
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students district-wide Consult with teachers and staff regarding student behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) and interventions Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and recommendations for at-risk students Support compliance with state and federal regulations (IDEA, Section 504) Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with functional behavioral assessments and positive behavior supports Offer training and support to school personnel and families on best practices relating to student mental health and learning needs Enjoy the professional satisfaction of working consistently throughout the school year in a learning-focused environment where your expertise is highly valued.
