Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students from preschool through high school in a dynamic educational setting near Sheridan, IN. As a full-time school psychologist on a contract basis for the 2026-27 school year, you'll play a pivotal role in helping children and adolescents thrive both academically and emotionally. Work 7.5 hours per day and manage a diverse caseload, spanning PreK through 5th grade as well as middle and high school groups. You'll collaborate closely with educators, parents, and administrators to create and implement effective strategies that promote student well-being and success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification or license (current and in good standing) Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and intervention frameworks Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle a varied caseload and support multiple age groups effectively Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student and school needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments Provide direct counseling and interventions to students as needed Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster positive educational experiences Offer crisis intervention and prevention services as needed Support the creation of safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments Imagine making a lasting difference in the lives of students across a broad age range while working in a collaborative academic environment.
