Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students in a vibrant, collaborative school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist ready to engage with K-12 students while making a meaningful difference in both academic performance and social-emotional well-being. You will mainly work onsite in Emporia, KS, with the possibility of assignments in nearby schools—always within a convenient 20-minute drive. You'll serve a diverse range of students, fostering positive outcomes and collaborating closely with education professionals who value holistic support for every child.
Requirements and Desired Experience:
Current Kansas School Psychologist license (required) Strong foundation in psychological assessment, counseling, and behavioral intervention Experience working with K-12 populations preferred Keen observational, analytical, and communication skills Flexible, solution-oriented approach with the ability to travel locally between school sites
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and eligibility assessments Deliver individual and group counseling to promote student success Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies Support crisis intervention and response as needed Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including IEP and 504 meetings Advise staff on positive behavioral supports and best practices in mental health
