Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a genuine impact in the lives of middle school students by leveraging your expertise as a school psychologist in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 6, 2026, through May 20, 2027, and offers the chance to work closely with students in grades 6-8, supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 500 learners. You'll play a pivotal role in fostering students' academic achievement, emotional well-being, and social development.
Qualifications:
Valid state certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist Previous experience or practical knowledge working within school settings, especially with adolescents Comprehensive understanding of psychological assessment tools, interventions, and special education processes Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage effectively with faculty, families, and external partners Passion for advocating for students' individual needs and an empathetic, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments, behavioral evaluations, and crisis interventions for students in grades 6-8 Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as part of the special education team Provide direct support services and counseling aimed at improving school adjustment and academic performance Deliver consultative guidance and professional development to teachers and staff regarding student mental health needs Collaborate actively with families, educators, and outside agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student success Maintain accurate records while complying with all legal and ethical guidelines for school psychologists Step into a role where your insights, compassion, and expertise will shape brighter futures for middle schoolers.
