Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact by supporting students' academic and emotional success through comprehensive psychological services in a welcoming K-12 environment. This contract school psychologist opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Most of your days will be spent in Emporia, KS, with the potential to provide support to nearby districts—all within a short drive.
Qualifications:
Valid Kansas School Psychologist license Previous experience working with K-12 student populations preferred Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Organized, self-motivated, and flexible in adapting to various school environments
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results for K-12 students Provide individual and group counseling as needed, supporting student mental health and well-being Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective interventions and instructional strategies Assist with the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Deliver crisis intervention and contribute to threat/risk assessments as required Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines Travel occasionally to assigned schools within a 20-minute radius of Emporia This position offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated team and help shape positive student experiences across various settings.
