Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Looking to make an impact as a School Psychologist in a dynamic K-12 environment? This contract opportunity provides the chance to work hands-on with students across a range of needs, collaborating with educational teams to support student success for the 2026-2027 school year. As a school-based psychologist, your focus will be supporting learners in both classroom and individual settings, fostering growth, and providing expert guidance on educational and behavioral strategies. The position encompasses assignments primarily in Emporia, with occasional service in nearby districts—never more than a 20-minute drive.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Kansas School Psychologist License required Experience working in K-12 school settings highly valued Strong communication skills for working with students, educators, and families Ability to navigate multiple school sites within a manageable geographic area Comfortable providing assessments, interventions, and recommendations to teams Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs and behavior plans
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments Participate in IEP meetings, report findings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Deliver direct and indirect services to students according to IEP goals Advise faculty and staff on evidence-based interventions and classroom supports Consult with families and community providers as needed Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Travel between school sites within a 20-minute radius as assigned This role is a full-time, onsite contract position spanning 37.5 hours per week during the standard academic calendar.
