Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a contract School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite role offers opportunities to foster student growth and collaborate with dedicated educators across Emporia, KS, and nearby districts—each within a short drive. You'll enjoy working in a supportive environment focused on student wellbeing and academic success.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
Current Kansas School Psychologist license (KS Psych License required) Experience working with K-12 student populations Strong assessment, counseling, and consultative skills Ability to adapt and travel between schools in the Emporia area (all locations within 20 minutes) Commitment to collaborative, student-centered support Excellent communication and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver assessments, evaluations, and interventions for a diverse K-12 caseload Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to develop and monitor student IEPs and behavioral plans Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed Help foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Document and report on student progress and outcomes in a timely manner Stay current on best practices and continued professional growth
