Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a contract school psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, offering comprehensive psychological services within a dynamic educational environment. The primary location is within Emporia, with possible assignments in surrounding districts, all just a short drive away.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Active and valid Kansas School Psychologist License (KS Psych License required) Solid experience in school-based psychological services across all grade levels (K-12) Proficiency in conducting assessments, writing reports, and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to travel to assigned districts within a 20-minute radius of Emporia Adaptable and organized, with a commitment to supporting students of varying needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations for special education services Develop data-driven intervention recommendations, supporting student learning and well-being Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to create and monitor student progress plans Offer consultative services and recommendations on behavior management and academic interventions Participate in meetings, contribute to discussions, and provide professional guidance as a valued team member
