Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students' academic, emotional, and social success in a dynamic middle school environment. We are seeking a School Psychologist to provide essential services to students in grades 6 through 8 for a full-time, contract opportunity covering the 2026-2027 school year. You'll work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to ensure every learner receives the support needed to thrive.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field Valid state licensure or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist Previous experience working with middle or secondary school populations preferred Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Familiarity with
MTSS/RTI
frameworks and special education processes Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to handle a caseload of approximately 500 students
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments Interpret assessment data to help guide intervention strategies Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans Provide individual and group counseling to address students' needs Consult with teachers, families, and outside service providers Participate as an active member of multidisciplinary teams Lead or assist with crisis intervention and behavior management as needed Help create a positive, inclusive school climate conducive to learning This contract role begins August 6, 2026, and continues through May 20, 2027.
