Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by supporting students as a contract school psychologist working onsite at two neighboring schools serving elementary and middle schoolers. This position plays a vital role in helping young learners thrive by participating actively in building teams and offering essential services. You'll collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and administrators from July 30th through June 2nd, working with students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Shape positive outcomes by leading and participating in the problem-solving process, Student Intervention Team, Building Crisis Team, and supporting students in need. You'll also conduct IEP evaluations, support development of individualized plans, and offer other key psychological services.
What We're Looking For:
State licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist Previous experience in K-8 school settings strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and various assessment tools Strong knowledge of academic and behavioral intervention strategies Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments for IEP eligibility and ongoing services Partner with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor student intervention plans Participate in Student Intervention Team and Building Crisis Team activities Contribute expertise to the problem-solving team at both the elementary and middle school levels Provide consultation and training to school staff on mental health and learning issues Support crisis response and prevention programming This is a rewarding contract opportunity with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule of 37.5 hours per week—all onsite at conveniently located schools.
