Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a vital impact in elementary education by supporting students through comprehensive school psychology services. This contract position invites you to work within a collaborative environment, partnering with the building team to address a range of student needs for the upcoming academic year. Engaging with young learners from Kindergarten through 5th grade, you'll provide expert guidance and intervention, helping to foster both their educational and social-emotional success.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience in school-based settings, especially with elementary-aged students Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP evaluation, and service processes Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams, including Student Intervention and Crisis Teams Excellent communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver IEP evaluations Participate actively in the Student Intervention Team and Building Crisis Team Lead or support the problem-solving process to identify and address student needs Develop, implement, and monitor effective academic and behavioral interventions Provide consultation to teachers, families, and staff regarding psychoeducational strategies Help cultivate a safe, inclusive school climate that encourages student growth You'll be working onsite during the school year, from July 30th through June 2nd, for a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. While immediate needs are best served in person, openness to virtual options may arise in the future if the position remains unfilled.
