Key Qualifications:
Valid, active license to practice as a School Psychologist in Kansas. Demonstrated experience in a school setting; K-12 or high school preferred. Expertise in conducting student re-evaluations, specifically for high school populations. Strong assessment, counseling, and report-writing abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff. Adaptability to new environments and changing caseloads.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for special education re-evaluations. Consult with educators, parents, and district staff regarding student needs and interventions. Support development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs). Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and assistance with behavioral interventions as needed. Maintain accurate documentation aligned with district and state guidelines. Stay current with best practices in school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development.
