Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the New Orleans area as a School Psychologist. Providing essential services across one or more school sites, youll play an integral role in supporting academic, social, and emotional needs from now until late May 2027. This is a full-time, onsite position following the school calendar (Monday through Friday, 7 hours daily, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Caseloads, specific assignments, and age groups will be determined by the district.

Key Qualifications:

Current, active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification required Experience with psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and development of intervention strategies preferred Strong understanding of compliance with state and federal education regulations Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families Flexibility to adapt to the districts needs and manage varying caseloads Successful completion of a district-required drug screen and fingerprinting, along with standard credentialing requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret data to inform educational planning Provide direct and consultative services to students, parents, and staff Support development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and individualized education programs (IEPs) Contribute to crisis intervention planning and response Document all services and maintain confidentiality per district and legal guidelines
