Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year in the Baltimore area. This on-site position offers the chance to work within dynamic educational settings, supporting students' emotional and academic development alongside dedicated educators. The anticipated assignment runs from late August through June, aligning with a traditional school calendar and providing steady, weekday hours.
Ideal candidates possess:
A Master's or PhD in School Psychology Current state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working in school-based environments (K-12 experience preferred) Strong communication and collaborative skills A commitment to fostering positive, inclusive learning environments In this role, your responsibilities may include: Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results for students Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Providing individual and group counseling to support student well-being Consulting with teachers, families, and administrators to address academic and behavioral concerns Facilitating crisis intervention and promoting restorative practices within the school community Maintaining thorough records in compliance with school policies and state guidelines Applicants should be prepared to complete time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including House Bill 486 district background check, fingerprinting, and an employment history review.
