Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students by providing expert guidance and support as a School Psychologist in a K-12 environment. You'll collaborate closely with educators and families, working with a diverse caseload in a supportive district that values your perspective and expertise. This is a contract position running from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering stability for the academic year and the opportunity to work onsite.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current, active Maryland School Psychologist License (required) Experience or strong understanding of school psychology practices in K-12 settings Ability to develop and implement assessment and intervention plans Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering student growth and emotional well-being
Responsibilities:
Serve a varied K-12 caseload, conducting evaluations and assessments per district and state requirements Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Support the implementation of academic and behavioral interventions Consult with staff regarding best practices in learning, behavior, and student mental health Maintain records, documentation, and report findings in accordance with policies Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
