Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Now is your chance to make a difference in the lives of students as a contract School Psychologist. Two exciting positions are available for motivated professionals ready to support both Elementary and Middle School populations. This assignment offers an engaging work environment where you'll collaborate with dedicated educators and make a meaningful impact each day. These roles begin as soon as possible and continue through mid-June. You'll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule—
Elementary:
8:15-3:45,
Secondary:
7:30-3:00—and a full-time work week at 37.5 hours. The caseload fluctuates with referrals but typically involves around 70 evaluations alongside a dynamic counseling caseload.
Qualifications:
MSDE School Psychologist certification is required Experience with psychoeducational assessments and student counseling preferred Comfort working with both elementary and middle school students Strong collaborative skills for participation in MTSS, IEP, and 504 team meetings Ability to manage variable caseloads and adapt to shifting school needs Preference for on-site candidates
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations Deliver individual and group counseling as needed Attend and contribute to MTSS, IEP, and 504 meetings Collaborate with staff to provide holistic support for students Maintain thorough documentation and communicate findings clearly Leverage technology and school-provided resources, including laptops This contract position emphasizes professional growth and the reward of making a genuine difference for students and their families.
