Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to provide comprehensive behavioral health evaluations for court-involved youth. The Psychologist will conduct psychological assessments, transfer and waiver evaluations, updated evaluations, consultations, and provide expert recommendations that support treatment planning and court decision-making for adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system. Essential Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for youth ages 12-20 involved in the juvenile justice system. Complete transfer and waiver evaluations for court proceedings. Perform updated psychological evaluations and clinical consultations as requested. Conduct interviews with youth, family members, and staff. Administer and interpret psychological testing, including: Cognitive assessments Personality assessments Trauma assessments Violence and risk assessments Symptom-specific screening tools (ADHD, depression, anxiety, etc.) Develop
DSM-5/ICD-10
diagnoses and treatment recommendations. Prepare detailed written reports in accordance with State requirements and court deadlines. Participate in treatment team meetings and formal staffing consultations. Provide expert testimony in juvenile court proceedings when subpoenaed. Maintain culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and anti-racist assessment practices. Ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA and Maryland regulations. Minimum Qualifications Current Maryland Psychologist License. Good standing with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Minimum two (2) years of post-doctoral experience evaluating adolescents. Experience working with court-involved or justice-system-involved youth. Strong report-writing and diagnostic assessment skills. Experience conducting psychological testing and forensic evaluations preferred. Ability to provide court testimony as an expert witness when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with transfer/waiver evaluations. Knowledge of Maryland juvenile justice processes. Training in trauma-informed assessment. Experience working with diverse and underserved youth populations. Compensation Competitive per-evaluation and consultation rates.
Pay:
From $400.00 per hour
