School Psychologist in Towson, MD ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Towson, MD Job Details Contract $37.02 - $67.02 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Practicing as a school psychologist Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital role supporting students' well-being and academic success as a School Psychologist in the Baltimore area, MD. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic school environment from August 31, 2026, through June 17, 2027. Your expertise will play an essential part in helping students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology Current certification or state licensure as a School Psychologist Experience in K-12 educational settings is highly valued Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and students Commitment to ethical standards and ongoing professional development Ability to fulfill time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review as mandated by House Bill 486
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions and support plans Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support services to students Contribute to multidisciplinary teams for special education eligibility, behavioral assessments, and individualized education programs (IEPs) Offer consultation on mental health, behavior management, and learning strategies to school staff Participate in school-wide initiatives to create safe, positive, and healthy learning environments Experience the rewards of helping diverse students reach their fullest potential.
