Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact as a full-time School Psychologist working with elementary students on a contract basis near Canton, MI. Use your expertise to foster positive outcomes for students and support their emotional, social, and academic well-being through hands-on collaboration and assessment. Your main responsibilities will include conducting evaluations and re-evaluations for students, attending and actively participating in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings, and providing essential crisis intervention support when needed. You'll work with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to student growth and maintaining a supportive educational environment.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Current Michigan School Psychologist Certification (required and must be in-hand at the time of application) Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary caseloads, is highly valued Skilled in conducting formal assessments, writing comprehensive reports, and delivering recommendations Effective communicator comfortable working collaboratively with education staff, parents, and outside service providers Ability to offer crisis intervention and emotional support to students when the need arises Familiarity with MTSS processes and data-driven decision-making preferred Key responsibilities: Perform evaluations and re-evaluations as part of the special education process Participate in MTSS meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for student support Support teachers and staff with interventions and strategies for students in need Respond to student crises, providing prompt and compassionate intervention This opportunity offers competitive hourly compensation from $45 to $55, as well as eligibility for healthcare benefits.
