Job Description

Behind every evaluation is a kid waiting for someone to finally understand how they learn. This district needs a School Psychologist who sees the student, not just the scores. A welcoming public school district in the Downriver community, minutes from downtown Detroit, is looking for a School Psychologist to call their own for the 2026-2027 school year. You will join a special education team that values your judgment, an administration that supports its evaluators, and families who genuinely want a partner. This is a full school-year assignment as a W-2 employee of Sevn Workforce Solutions, with guaranteed hours, weekly pay, and a dedicated support team behind you all year.
THE ROLE
You will support a K-12 caseload for the 2026-2027 school year, August 2026 through early June 2027, Monday through Friday during school hours. Nights, weekends, and summers are yours.
What you will do:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations Determine special education eligibility and contribute to IEP and MET decisions Participate in IEP meetings and support MTSS and intervention planning Consult with teachers, administrators, and families on behavioral and academic supports Maintain documentation in line with Michigan special education requirements
COMPENSATION
This is a W2 role with benefits available. Pay is $75.00 per hour with 37.5 hours per week, and you choose the plan that fits your life: Local Plan Straight hourly wages, weekly direct deposit Weekly gross of $2,812.50 Travel Plan (for candidates who qualify under IRS tax home rules: permanent residence 50+ miles from the assignment with duplicated living expenses) $1,200.00 per week in taxable hourly wages $1,100.00 per week tax-free lodging stipend $512.50 per week tax-free meals and incidentals stipend $2,812.50 total weekly package; we will build your exact split with you before you accept Both plans include: Health insurance options through our ICHRA benefits program Professional liability coverage provided Licensure and credentialing support Referral bonuses
QUALIFICATIONS
Ed.

S., Psy.

S., or Master's/Specialist-level degree in School Psychology Michigan School Psychologist certificate, or eligibility to obtain one before the school year begins (we help with this, and NCSP holders typically qualify) School-based evaluation experience preferred; strong practicum candidates and out-of-state psychologists encouraged to apply
