School Psychologist - Melvindale, MI Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Melvindale, MI Job Details Full-time | Contract 1 day ago Qualifications School experience Practicing as a school psychologist Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Qualified candidates will possess a Michigan School Psychologist Certification, either fully approved or temporary. Utilize your specialized training and desire to help students thrive as you perform essential psychological assessments and interventions.
Desired Qualifications:
Michigan School Psychologist Certification (fully approved or temporary) Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations within school settings Solid understanding of special education law, including MARSE and IDEA guidelines Proficiency with test administration, data interpretation, and compliance reporting Strong skills in collaborative teamwork with educators, support staff, and families Familiarity supporting MTSS, PBIS, and IEP processes
Key Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, ensuring all procedures meet MARSE and IDEA compliance Administer and interpret a range of standardized and informal assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for services Contribute to IEP meetings, supporting the development of effective, data-driven goals, accommodations, and behavior plans Deliver timely, clear, and compliant evaluation reports Offer consultative and direct psychological services to students as needed Actively participate in MTSS and PBIS initiatives, helping with data-based decision making to improve student outcomes This role provides an opportunity for meaningful impact, a collaborative work environment, and a fulfilling career path within the educational field.
