Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A travel opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support educational assessments and mental health services in schools located in Traverse City, MI. This role is ideal for a licensed professional seeking to provide vital psychological services across multiple school settings, ensuring students receive the necessary support for academic and emotional success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations to assess student needs, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional assessments Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support student well-being Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support plans as necessary Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student development and needs Maintain detailed records in compliance with regulatory and confidentiality standards
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience conducting formal assessments and writing comprehensive reports Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel Ability to adapt to travel assignments and work within various school environments
