Waterford School District Location:
Waterford School District Monday•Friday; during school hours Compensation•$54.60/hr.
PTO Weekly Pay School Psychologist Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of students Identify barriers to learning and recommend instructional strategies to improve student achievement Participate in multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services Support the development and implementation of effective individualized instruction Collect data and conduct systematic observations for students experiencing challenges in the school setting Make appropriate referrals and assist in coordinating community-based support services Serve as an active member of school-based support teams Participate in crisis response teams and provide crisis intervention services for students and staff as needed Stay current with developments, research, and best practices in the field of education and school psychology Perform other duties as assigned
School Psychologist Qualifications:
Certification as a School Psychologist through the Michigan Department of Education Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation Experience implementing positive behavior supports and universal strategies to address student behavioral needs Experience administering and interpreting a variety of standardized assessments Knowledge of Special Education law, including the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) Demonstrated ability to develop appropriate modifications and accommodations for the general education curriculum Experience conducting psychological evaluations within an educational setting, including administration and interpretation of results Proven ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with school staff, parents, building administrators, and community agencies Pre Employment Requirements may include:
