Job Description

PROCUREMENT REQUEST - LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Request For Information #3150006954 Specialized Treatment Facility, a program of the Department of Mental Health in Gulfport Mississippi, is Requesting Information for one (1) Independent Contract Licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide services for up to twenty (20) hours per week at the rate of $100 per hour. This temporary, short-term contract is for the purpose of providing coverage for the current licensed clinical psychologist during the period of August 10, 2026 through October 31, 2026. Applicant would provide the following duties:
  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents
  • In collaboration with multiple disciplines, develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests
  • Monitor and document the progress of individual served
  • Offer crisis intervention and support during emergencies
  • May provide education to parents and families on effective strategies to support their child's mental health
  • May provide direct care through individual and group interventions
  • Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings
  • Review referrals for appropriateness of admission to psychiatric residential treatment facility
  • Provide direct supervision to master's level therapists (psychologists and social workers) and behavioral health technician
  • May support and train milieu staff in implementing milieu-based treatment Applicant is required to be licensed by the MS Board of Psychology.
Specialized training and experience in the evaluation and treatment of mental disorders in children and/or adolescents is preferred. A State of MS Application and Applicant Background/Work Reference Packet must be completed and submitted to Specialized Treatment Facility along with a resume/CV, valid MS license and certification.
