Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A licensed School Psychologist position is available on a contract basis in Burnsville, North Carolina, serving K-12 students. This role focuses on psychological testing to determine eligibility for Exceptional Children (EC) programs and conducting reevaluation assessments. The workload includes cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral testing, as well as administering specialized screenings necessary for eligibility determinations.
Qualifications:
Licensed School Psychologist in the state of North Carolina Experience working with K-12 student populations Proficient in administering and interpreting a variety of psychological and behavioral assessments Strong knowledge of special education eligibility criteria and procedures
Job Details:
Contract position starting ASAP through May 22, 2026 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday Caseload includes K-12 students requiring initial or reevaluation testing for EC eligibility
Key Responsibilities:
Administer cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral tests to assess student needs Conduct eligibility evaluations for special education services in accordance with state guidelines Collaborate with educational teams to interpret results and develop appropriate interventions Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for assessments and reports Support compliance with district and state special education requirements
