Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a contract opportunity supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth as a school psychologist. In this part-time role (20 hours per week), you'll work collaboratively with educators, families, and administrators, providing critical services to help students thrive. Your expertise in assessment, consultation, and intervention will foster a positive learning environment near the vibrant Charlotte, NC area.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist Strong foundation in administering and interpreting psychoeducational assessments Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary educational team Familiarity with developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans Commitment to evidence-based interventions and advocacy for student needs Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to build relationships with students, families, and staffCore Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to inform student support plans Serve as a resource for teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress Develop recommendations for behavioral, academic, and emotional interventions Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of tailored educational plans Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district policies Stay current with best practices in school psychology and student services Enjoy the flexibility of a part-time schedule (20 hours weekly), allowing for enhanced work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in the educational community.
