Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contracted position for the 2026-2027 school year seeks a licensed School Psychologist to support student development within a local school district in Jacksonville, NC. Serving as a contracted employee, the role focuses on delivering psychological services that foster students' cognitive, social, behavioral, and personal growth, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and community agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate learning and promote overall student development Identify and assess students' learning, developmental, behavioral, and mental health needs Use assessment data to develop interventions and individualized programs Participate actively as a member of IEP teams and support school staff capacity building Provide consultation to parents, teachers, and community personnel Ensure compliance with professional ethics, laws, and policies Maintain accurate records and adhere to reporting timelines Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staffQualifications:
Must hold or be eligible to obtain a North Carolina educator's license as a School Psychologist Ability to work in diverse educational settings, complying with required physical and safety standards Capable of driving to multiple school sites Strong communication and collaboration skills Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and ethics complianceLocation:
