May 25, 2027 Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Psychologist to join our elementary education team for the 2026-2027 school year. The School Psychologist will collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success through assessment, intervention, consultation, and mental health support services. This position serves elementary-aged students and plays a key role in supporting academic achievement, social-emotional development, and positive behavioral outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a high volume of cognitive and academic assessments for students referred through the special education evaluation process. Complete behavioral assessments as needed, including initial Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs). Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports. Participate in eligibility meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to develop effective student support plans. Support and participate in the district's Student Support Team (SST) process, including problem-solving, intervention planning, and progress monitoring. Assist with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions. Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts as needed. Promote positive school climate and student well-being. Caseload & Evaluation Focus This position is heavily assessment-focused and is ideal for a psychologist who enjoys testing and data analysis.
Primary responsibilities include:
Cognitive evaluations Academic achievement testing Special education eligibility assessments Behavioral evaluations when warranted Initial FBAs SST participation and consultation Technology & Platforms Q-interactive for psychological and educational testing SRS for IEP documentation and special education management Experience with either platform is preferred, though training may be available. Hybrid Flexibility Available Qualifications Master's, Specialist (Ed.

S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology. Valid Nebraska School Psychologist certification/licensure, or eligibility to obtain certification prior to the start date. Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred. Knowledge of special education regulations and best practices.
