Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role as a School Psychologist supporting a small K-12 district on a contract basis at 0.5 FTE. This unique position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across all grade levels, working closely with students, families, and staff to foster educational and emotional well-being in an inclusive, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students in grades K-12 Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies Consult with staff to deliver preventative and responsive services supporting student success Provide short-term counseling to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges Support crisis intervention, collaborate on school-wide initiatives, and promote safe learning environments Maintain accurate documentation aligned with all district, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification/license required Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families Ability to manage a flexible caseload in a small district environment Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset This contract opportunity offers a part-time schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life experience while making a genuine difference in a close-knit school community.
