Job Description

PAX Health is a leading mental and behavioral health organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals facing mental health challenges. The Clinical Psychometrist is responsible for administering, scoring, and documenting psychological and neuropsychological assessments using both paper-pencil and computer-based formats, as well as delivering individual and group cognitive remediation sessions for patients with cognitive impairments. This role involves coordinating clinical services, managing documentation and data reporting, supporting insurance authorization processes, and collaborating with clinicians, staff, and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality care. The Clinical Psychometrist also assists in training psychometrists under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and may function in both clinical and administrative capacities. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, and bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, score, and document psychological and neuropsychological tests accurately and efficiently. Conduct and document individual and group cognitive remediation sessions for patients with cognitive dysfunction. Track patient progress and assist in treatment planning and adjustment. Coordinate and manage daily clinical service operations, including communication with internal teams and external contacts. Manage clinical documentation, data entry, and reporting in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Assist with insurance authorization processes and collaborate with billing staff to ensure proper documentation and coding. Train and mentor psychometrists under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Support clinicians and office staff with administrative functions as needed. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory guidelines. Utilize electronic medical records systems to document assessments and treatment sessions. Abide by PAX Health code of ethics and model values Other duties as needed within the scope of the role.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. Prior experience in psychological and neuropsychological test administration and scoring required. Experience in cognitive remediation or similar therapeutic interventions strongly preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation standards. Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Bilingual candidates strongly preferred (specifically Spanish-speaking ).
