Job Description

The Pediatric Pain and Palliative Care Psychologist functions as a clinical psychologist under the supervision of the Supervisor Psychology, in accordance with the Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct of the American Psychological Association, guidelines from the New Jersey Board of Psychological Examiners, and standards set forth by the joint Commission. In general, the Psychologist independently diagnoses and treats mental disorders and aspects of psychological adjustment. The specific scope of practice will be articulated in the delineation of privileges as issued in the process of appointment to the Medical Staff. This position offers a highly desirable weekday schedule with no on-call, weekend, or holiday obligations.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Earned Doctorate in Psychology, internship in clinical child, school psychology, adult clin ical and/or pediatric psychology.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1. Post-doctoral training and/or experience in child maltreatment or forensic psychology.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
1. New Jersey or NJ eligible Practicing Psychologist License (PsyD or PhD) or Psychology One Year Permit or Psychology, Three Year Permit License.
