11 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Practicing as a school psychologist Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact by supporting students across Pre-K through 8th grade in a close-knit academic setting. This full-day contract opportunity involves working with a manageable caseload in a district serving approximately 900 students. As a valued school psychologist, you will provide essential services, supporting both student success and overall well-being.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification for the state of New Jersey Experience in K-8 educational settings preferred Familiarity with special education regulations and evaluation procedures Strong skills in counseling, assessment, and report writing Ability to manage cases effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Experience or interest in handling HIB (Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying) coordination is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
Oversee a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, focusing on PK-8 Conduct comprehensive evaluations (average of 25 per year) to identify student needs Provide counseling services for students, both individually and in small groups Lead and organize case management, ensuring all documentation is thorough and up to date Potentially coordinate efforts and initiatives around HIB prevention and response Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student plans Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders to promote holistic student support This position offers a stable, full school day schedule from 8:15 am to 3:20 pm, allowing you to build meaningful relationships within a supportive academic community.
