Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A travel opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to provide specialized psychological services in educational settings located in Newark, NJ. This role is suited for professionals with experience in assessing and supporting the mental health and educational development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students' learning, behavioral, and emotional needs. Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies. Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed to support student wellbeing. Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service planning.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience delivering psychological services in school settings. Knowledge of assessment tools, special education laws, and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to multiple school environments through travel assignments.
