Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students across all grade levels as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Located near the Albuquerque, NM area, this full-time contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within K-12 educational settings. Work collaboratively with educators, families, and specialized teams to foster positive student outcomes, address academic and behavioral needs, and promote holistic well-being throughout the school community.

Key Qualifications:

Current New Mexico PED Level II or III School Psychologist certification (required) Demonstrated experience working within K-12 educational environments Strong skills in assessment, consultation, intervention, and developing individualized student plans Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Commitment to ethical practice, problem-solving, and inclusive educational philosophies

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement interventions Provide one-on-one and group counseling services to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Consult with teachers and families to address learning differences, crisis situations, and classroom management strategies Participate in IEP, eligibility, and other relevant team meetings as a valued resource Contribute to the creation of safe, supportive, and equitable learning environments for all students This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to develop strong connections within your school communities and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
