Job Description
Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact in a smaller, welcoming educational setting just east of Albuquerque! This contract position is perfect for an experienced or aspiring Educational Diagnostician seeking a supportive and collegial environment. Working with a student population of about 500 in special education, you'll become an integral part of a team renowned for its cooperation and mutual support. The district values collaboration, embraces travel professionals, and ensures you'll have knowledgeable colleagues alongside you—including per diem and intern diagnosticians. You'll primarily work across three schools on the district's west side, taking responsibility for two elementary campuses and one middle school—no pre-K students included in your caseload. The team's focus lies in providing top-notch evaluations, timely assessments, and upholding the highest standards of educational diagnostics.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid credentials or strong progress toward New Mexico PED certification for Educational Diagnostician. Experience in conducting educational evaluations and assessments in school settings. Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate with staff, and maintain thorough documentation. Flexibility to work as part of a collaborative team and adapt to evolving needs. Willingness to provide confirmation of timeline for moving and current PED process documentation.Responsibilities:
Conducting comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments for assigned students. Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to inform individualized plans.
