What You'll Do:
Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on clinical interviews and available records Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and security staff Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans tailored to inmate needs Perform regular rounds in secure housing areas to monitor mental health and adjustment Provide mental health counseling and crisis interventions Address mental health crises with appropriate interventions and support Document assessments and treatment progress following facility protocols
What You Need:
Required:
Active license or board eligibility as a Psychologist Ability to perform comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions Strong communication and collaboration skills BLS certification meeting facility standards or pending attestation Social Security card for facility clearance
Preferred:
Previous experience working in correctional or institutional settings Familiarity with mental health treatment plans and crisis management About the
