Job Description Rondout Valley Central School District is seeking a qualified .4 FTE Long-Term Substitute School Psychologist to provide mandated services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans at Marbletown Elementary School. This part-time position is anticipated to begin as soon as possible and continue for approximately 12 weeks. The assignment is approximately two days per week, with scheduling to be determined in collaboration with the District. The primary responsibility of this position is the direct provision of mandated student services. This may be an ideal opportunity for a certified school psychologist seeking a limited, part-time assignment without the responsibilities of a full-time school psychologist position.
Qualifications:
Valid New York State certification as a School Psychologist.
Experience providing individual and group counseling to school-age students.
Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting comprehensive psycho-educational assessments.
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, procedures, and timelines.
Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Per Contract General Responsibilities:
The .4 FTE Long-Term Substitute School Psychologist will: Provide individual and/or group counseling and other assigned school psychological services in accordance with students' IEPs and Section 504 Plans.
Maintain an organized schedule to ensure mandated services are provided in accordance with students' plans.
Monitor student progress toward applicable counseling goals.
Maintain accurate service records, progress notes, and other required documentation.
Prepare required progress reports within established timelines.
Communicate with teachers, administrators, families, and other service providers as necessary regarding students receiving services.
Participate in student meetings when directly related to the provision or review of assigned mandated services, as needed.
Maintain the confidentiality of student records and information.
