Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital onsite role supporting students for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a School Psychologist, you'll play an integral part in empowering students and guiding school teams through the assessment and support process. This is a full-time, contract position, Monday through Friday, with a consistent schedule of 7.25 hours per day (36.25 hours per week). Bring your knowledge of psychological assessment and NY State certification to a setting that values your expertise. The position centers on leading assessments, playing a central role in chairing CSE meetings, and collaborating closely with educators and families. Experience or training as a
CSE/CPSE
Chairperson is highly preferred—your leadership will help shape important educational decisions.
Qualifications:
Valid NY School Psychologist certification required Previous experience in K-12 school settings highly valued Familiarity with
CSE/CPSE
processes; chairperson experience or training strongly preferred Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Comfortable managing a full caseload and leading multidisciplinary team meetings
Daily Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments Chair CSE and CPSE meetings, ensuring compliance and effective student-focused planning Develop and interpret evaluation reports and recommendations Provide expert consultation to teachers, administrators, and families Support implementation of interventions and progress monitoring You will enjoy a competitive hourly rate within the range of $50-60 and receive weekly pay.
