Job Description School Psychologist - Middle School The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered School Psychologist to join the team at the middle school. We are looking for a collaborative professional who is passionate about supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success while working closely with educators, families, and related service providers. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Conduct comprehensive Psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data to support special education eligibility and educational planning.
Develop and communicate clear, comprehensive evaluation reports and recommendations.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and well-being.
Provide consultation regarding behavioral, social-emotional, and academic interventions.
Assist in the development and implementation of positive behavioral supports and intervention plans.
Support building-wide initiatives that promote positive school climate, mental health, and student wellness.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and New York State regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or Building Principal.
Qualifications
New York State Certification as a School Psychologist is required.
Strong knowledge of Psychoeducational assessment, special education regulations, and evidence-based interventions.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and support staff.
Experience working in an elementary school setting is preferred but not required.
