School Psych - Grand Island, New York

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. A contract position is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support an elementary school caseload in Grand Island, NY. This role is ideal for a professional experienced in educational and psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psychological assessments and interpret findings to support student learning and development. Develop and implement interventions tailored to individual student needs. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create and monitor effective educational plans. Provide counseling and support services to students, addressing behavioral and emotional concerns. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and plan accommodations. Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for school-based practice. Experience working with elementary-aged students and managing an elementary caseload. Proficiency in conducting assessments and using data to inform educational planning. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff, families, and external agencies. Knowledge of relevant legal and ethical guidelines in school psychology.

Location and Schedule:

Position is based in Grand Island, NY. Work hours from 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, aligned with the school day.
