Islandwide Full Time Professional 5 years exp Social Services Flexi-Hours $4,000to$5,500 Monthly 11 applicationsPosted 29 Jun 2026Closing on 29 Jul 2026 Roles & Responsibilities Job Responsibilities Conduct psychological evaluation and assessment of youth/adult clients of the agency, to inform interventions Provide counselling and/or specific therapeutic interventions under supervision for routine cases Formulate evidence based and data driven intervention plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for routine cases Evaluate, monitor and report on progress to review effectiveness and relevance of intervention plan Conduct psycho-educational sessions on addiction & recovery related topics Lead/co-lead on research, design and implementation of new clinical programmes or therapeutic interventions for addiction and related conditions Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in the supervision of persons and activities on premises to ensure a safe and effective recovery environment Develop and deliver general awareness talks and/or workshops for public education or mental health professionals Provide professional inputs in multi-disciplinary team discussions Contribute feedback and assist in implementation of measures for improvement of agency's standard clinical practices Assist in planning & coordination of major agency-wide events/activities where necessary Core Requirements Passion for working with persons & families impacted by addictive and/or comorbid disorders Adhere to professional standards in clinical, legal, and ethical practices Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Job Requirements Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or equivalent; OR bachelor degree in a related field with minimal 5 years proven experience in addiction counselling Preferably proven counselling experience of at least 2 years and more for Master degree holders; or 5 years and more for Bachelor degreeholders Professional qualifications as Certified Substance Abuse Counsellor (CSAC) or equivalent will be an advantage Preferably familiar with 12-Steps programme modality
