Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist working with middle school students for the 2026/2027 academic year. This role is based near New Paltz, NY, within a supportive environment alongside another experienced school psychologist. Your regular hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 2:15pm, totaling 35 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

Certification as a School Psychologist Previous experience working with middle school students preferred Strong knowledge in conducting evaluations and re-evaluations Ability to provide individual and group counseling Familiarity with crisis response and de-escalation strategies Excellent communication skills for leading and chairing CSE meetings

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct counseling services to middle school students Administer assessments for initial and re-evaluations, interpreting and documenting results Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to support student success Chair Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, ensuring compliance and advocacy Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed Work closely with the building's other school psychologist for case consultation and program planning This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic school setting and are looking for a collaborative atmosphere.
