Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role where you'll make a meaningful difference as a full-time School Psychologist working with K-4 students. You'll provide essential support and guidance across three buildings, managing a focused caseload of 50 students. This opportunity begins in the middle of August, setting the tone for a successful new school year near Canton, OH.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification/license (state or national, as required) Experience working with elementary (K-4) populations Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Familiarity with IEP development, behavioral interventions, and academic support strategies Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent organization, communication, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments of K-4 students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention plans Deliver counseling and mental health support to students as appropriate Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth and well-being Facilitate small groups, classroom presentations, and prevention programs Provide crisis intervention and support as needed Maintain accurate student records and comply with applicable laws and regulations Travel between three buildings as part of your regular rotation Experience the satisfaction of supporting young learners as they start their academic journey, all while working alongside an enthusiastic and collaborative school community.
