Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract role supporting local schools as a School Psychologist in the Albany, OR area. This full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible schedule within standard school hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Your expertise will be focused at the district's central office, handling evaluations and assessments without an ongoing caseload. This position is available for an immediate start, with flexibility for January or February onboarding, and continues through the end of the current school year.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in School Psychology Active Oregon state license as a School Psychologist, or eligibility/in-process Demonstrated experience in psychological testing, administering evaluations, and report writing Strong familiarity with the initial and re-evaluation process, IEPs, and referral procedures Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and staff for consultation and referral support
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations using a variety of psychological assessments for students referred by school teams Prepare detailed reports documenting evaluation processes, findings, and recommendations Offer consultative support to local schools regarding student needs, referrals, and services Participate in multidisciplinary meetings supporting IEP and special education processes Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and compliance standards in school psychology This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy focusing on specialized assessments and professional collaboration without the demands of a traditional caseload.
