Portland, Oregon A full-time School Psychologist opportunity is available in the Portland, Oregon area for the 2026-2027 school year . This position is dedicated to supporting a high school student population , providing comprehensive psychological services that promote academic achievement, emotional well-being, and college and career readiness. The selected candidate will collaborate with administrators, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students succeed in a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for high school students referred for academic, behavioral, emotional, or social concerns. Interpret assessment results and present findings during eligibility, evaluation, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Develop and contribute to IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and recommendations that address the unique needs of secondary students. Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and support staff regarding effective interventions, accommodations, and behavioral strategies. Deliver short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and social-emotional support for students as needed. Participate in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes to improve student outcomes. Collaborate with school teams to support students transitioning to post-secondary education, employment, or independent living when appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements. Qualifications Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.

S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution. Oregon School Psychologist license or certification, or eligibility to obtain state credentials. Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and providing psychological services within a school setting. Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, special education procedures, and best practices for secondary education. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with high school students in grades 9-12. Familiarity with transition planning, graduation requirements, and post-secondary readiness initiatives.
